The week of remembering our blessings...

WOW...

what a week. While most were bbq-ing and watching fireworks, devin and I woke up mid day (we're on night shifts) to this surprise... Apparently it was from two floors up and coming through the walls of our new remodeled apt. Best part, the maintenance man lied and said he had checked it out...by the looks and sounds of it....it was far from being "checked out"...

It was finally attended to and didn't ruin THAT much in our apt except three rolls of toilet paper, and the baseboard in the bathroom.

Then to top the week off, I went out to gina and found her with out two of her shoe's. WHA?? yea, gina was robbed and violated. sad sad day just ask my mom who had to listen to me.

On a positive note:

we received our fabulous sofa....

Fantastic co-workers from the hop came up to visit :)

we still have one another....

and we have the weekend off :)

We are blessed!

I went to RS craft night, came home with this little lady to adorn the walls when someone has a birthday... until then....

our new place is coming together...

So....we had a family dinner....and D snapped a pic of me looking like it's humid outside or something with my fro....

Then we got gynormica, which made D smile with glee:

And then we had a fancy dinner on a skateboard while watching NBA game...

And this is the Riverway part of the Emerald Necklace that runs through boston...just outside our front door...great views and great walks.

This marriage thing is just coming together.... come visit us!! :)

D graduates....again

I attended Devin's Internship year graduation. He graduated from Brigham and Women's Internal Medicine Internship and boy were we soo soo happy!

You see, the first year of residency "sucks" ... always doing grunt work, at the bottom of the totem pole and always the gofer. Yet, he survived. WAHOO!!!!!

Now he's on to Neuro...and guess what? He get's to do another Intern year in Neuro (what the ....???) yep, send your prayers our way to get him through another year of sleepless nights/days and working more than ever. We love you hon!

I know, most of you with washer and dryers in your apts are thinking..."what is that?" Well, my laundry facility is directly across the street, and the grocery store is down the street....so D got me this sweet ride to help me tote groceries and laundry back and forth. I love it! D reports it has "dual wheel drive and 360 degree in place turn radius" regardless, she's a beauty!! Can't wait to use her tomorrow!

Shopping for the new apt

So devin and I went to many places yesterday, including BBB to get things for our apt. We ended up with a knife sharpener and cutting board, and a free dutch oven afterwards. SCORE! Then we went looking for a tv, I turned the corner and I found this:

Good times, we were exhausted and very blessed thanks to our sweet friends!

We've Moved...

Boxes, Boxes, Boxes....

more Boxes...

We now are living like a true married couple without a roommate. :) We moved last weekend with the help of the elders quorum in our ward, we put everything in a uhaul and moved from Brighton, ma to Boston, ma (a whole 4-5 miles). Now we have the fun task of unloading, organizing and manipulating our small space to fit our many many "treasures" some may call junk. :)
