Hazmat Day Boston Style

So Hazmat day in Boston turned out to be more hands on than my prior experience. Since I learned about responding to natural disasters etc from training at the Hop and having worn the fun decontamination suit, I decided, I'd help those who haven't had the experience get all snazzy-ed up... Aren't they cute!?
We totally built this huge decontamination unit (below) in less than 30mins and it all came out of a small trailer...pretty fancy stuff.

Here they are assimilating the non-walking patient that arrives at the hospital and needs decontamination from who knows what...Here's the first spot the patient comes to the decon tent...bye bye contaminated clothes...

Josey, too small for her suit

Crafting again...

So as a gag gift for a bridal shower I was given onesies (hilarious, thanks Claire) so I thought I'd do something with them in my spare time . . . I figure they'll make great baby shower gifts for someone.

Horseneck Beach, MA & Earth Day

So I looked up some stuff about Earth Day online and stumbled upon a clean up of the Charles River that runs through Boston . . . boy was that an adventure. People are such litter bugs! One thing I learned--bad planning to put a McDonald's near the river front. I cannot tell you how many ketchup packets and paper straw wrappers I picked up, sheesh! It was good times and scored a fun shirt:

Later that day Devin's roommate Andrew, Devin and I went to Horseneck Beach, MA which was about an hour away. It was fun to get out of the city. Devin and Andrew enjoyed their frisbee time here our pics to show:

Crafty shirts

So I saw these cute shorts at after Target Easter sales....they cost a mere $1-2 dollars depending on what day you went to Tar-Jay this week. Anyhow, I was inspired by a pair of pink shorts... (where is this going ... you might think...) Well, my sweet nieces are turning 2 & 3 this year and as I was able to see them last year around this time and won't this year...I thought why not be creative. Devin told me I must post my new found married felt-fun time filler. Here they are: (If you are Reiko or Amber...keep an eye out in a mail box near you...)

Boston is full of surprises . . .

1. My husband gave me these wonderful flowers...he knows how to make me smile.

2. And then he surprised me with being mr. furry man (apparently it's tradition in the brigham and women's internal medicine residency to have march mustache month that lasts from Mar 15 - April 12 with a competition for the best "furry face") I must really love this man or what.

3. The Easter Bunny came to the apartment

4. My brother and his wife surprised the family with this little number that Caylee wore on Easter announcing - I'm going to be an aunt x3!

5. Devin surprised me with a walk through from our realtor of our remodled apartment (it's a beauty...only a few more days!!)

6. Devin's 30th Birthday - He was surprised by his nice roommate, Andrew, and I when we took him to "Ye old Union oyster House" restaurant down by the water in downtown. He loves fish, so we figured he would love it....and he did! Happy Birthday Devin!!!
